Are Psychics of the devil?

Kristina,

I don't think they read a person's mind. I do think they read a person's tongue, along with dress and body language. We need to be able to "read" people to a certain extent. To not "read" them sometimes gets us into hot water. Example: You need something from someone. When to ask? When they are in a good mood or foul mood? If you can read the mood, you know when to speak and when to stay quiet.

Do you mean "psychic" or someone who God has blessed with a well tuned intuition? I believe that god has given this gift to some people but it is up to the individual how they use this gift. We have heard and know about folks who CLAIM to be psychic who say they will and can tell your future for a fee. Now this is a different story. I do not believe this is from God. For one thing! This is when it is not of God and when one pays to know their future it is placing their faith in someone other than God God wants us to live by faith and were He to want us to know our future, we will hear from HIM and not from someone who claims to be able to do that for your valuables or money. That is for personal gain! I agree that someone with a high intuition does not read minds so much as they read speech, body language,behaviour and just plain human nature. Just my opinion but one that sits well with my Spirit! :)

I don't know about Psychology Class, but I do know about the Bible.

According to Deuteronomy 13:1-3, yes a person can be accurate telling "fortunes", etc........................

(1) "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, (2) and the sign or wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, "Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them," (3) you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul."

 

I would think those words apply also to Astrology, and other things of the Occult.............
