Thank you, I really appreciate your advice.

 God is so good, im so glad he is forgiving. Christ is number one in my life and your right i want to be a good influence on my friends and stay away from the party seen so that He may be glorified.

Hi Jen,

I am not so sure that you should stop hanging around with your friends especially as you love them. I would definitely suggest not being at these hard parties and similar occasions. You must love each other for other reasons which I believe will help you to reach out to them at some stage in their lives.

In fact I agree with everything that Char has shared!

Hi Jen,

I really can relate, since I had the same struggle before. When I became born again, I still hang out with my closest friends who also party a lot, go to gigs, bars, etc. Then one night, I feel that I don't like what they were doing anymore, such as drinking and listening to worldly music, I just felt that God touched my heart and He is changing me. (And I don't belong there anymore.) Well, I still go out with them but into different places, different occasions were my Spirit will not be polluted, if u know what I mean. Then I started telling them about Jesus. I believe that we can do anything we want but God always check our HEARTS, we can't hide anything from Him. And I agree with you, we must glorify God in everything we do.

The only thing I can tell you is pray to God, ask Him to give you friends who have the same passion in Christ and love Jesus. In this way, you can be strengthen and helped in your relationship with Him, That's what I did too!

Jen,

Start off by putting Christ first in your life. As you grow more in the Lord, your friends will see that growth in you. There may even be some of them that are struggling with the same doubts that you are suffering from....association with worldly things. Invite them to church. Can't ever tell, one of them might take you up on the invitation. Let them see your growth in the Lord. Don't hid Him away. Let your light shine for all to see.

We have all been in your shoes at some point. There are people who will reject this new life you have chosen. The Holy Spirit will guide you to the proper way of handling this area of your life. Listen to Him.
