CAN GOD REALLY HEAL US AND PULL US OUT OF ANY PIT
This question is not being raised to hurt. It is being raised to HELP as I am seeing many being held in these pits within the Christian family on-line AND off-line.
Father God,
Help us all to share freely as your children and in love in this sharing. Let it be a testimonial of Your love and light for Your Glory. In Jesus most precious Name,Amen

Amanda. You know we all love you. You know that I do. I do not think jane is being narrow minded at all like jane I have been delivered of depression. I have learned that we cannot "limit" God as a result. And I think that is what jane is saying. I have empathy for those who suffer but I also know that god WILL and DOES help us overcome. I guess you can say tht I can see both sides and that is the reason I CAN empathize and God has never let me forget where I came from. What he also does not want me to forget is that hIS authority is much mightier than the thought of hopelessness that can. Fill our minds and hearts and STAY there. Those thoughts of hopelessness and worthlessness do NOT come from Him and can destroy us and YES, lead us to sin in a lot of cases. I am not saying YOU are sinning. I AM saying we can recognize God's power. A person can Believe God's word that we can overcome or they can believe a doctor who tells us we are CHRONICALLY depressed. I am NOT an authority but GOD IS.
I cannot defend depression that clings. I can however with the boldness the Lord has been working on with me in my life to obey him in helping others to KNOW what he can do and cling to His promises. I love you muchly sis Amanda

and yes, healing is a gift god gives some who are born again in Christ to work through them for His glory. But the bottom line is, healing is what HE does. There are no labels here when talking about depression. That word is not a label it is a real thing and a devestating thing aty that. God,s promises however are even MORE REAL!

Bondage is anything thayt KEEPS a person in oppression. Depression=oppression. Oppression=not from God
It is not a sin in itself but it IS oppression and GOD breaks those chains
I am only obeying Him in bringing this up in the hope and prayer that it helps someone to see what he can do rather than fight what his word says he can do

such a good question? I struggled with depression for over 12 years - it was almost 14 years - and I thank God that with His help I have overcome the worst of it ... but I do still struggle with depression. I suppose that some people can get over depression quicker than others, and I think that time is quite significant. It may take a Christian one month to get over depression or indeed it may take them 10 years even more, I don't know but I believe that "time is a great healer" and when God is involved it's in His time ....

In which I am trying to do here in obediance to our Lord. I. Love all even though the ones.I love may not be ready to hear. I know God would not have lead me to start this discussion if it was not going to reach someone. Therefore I stand in that obediene and His word. I will only say. I love, I do, I pray!

I started this discussion in the hope and prayer that we could help each other acknowledge ,understand better and grasp just how powerful and mighty our Father is and how He changes lives. I do not have regrets about this. I will ALWAYS follow Him and ALL that He places on my heart for HIS GLORY. His power is UNLIMITED therefore I cannot defend the "pits" the enemy likes to throw us into. Those "pits" God WILL AND DOES pull us out of in this life and he does heal. It is not mine to heal and I certainly cannot be the Saviour! There is only ONE SAVIOUR,JESUS CHRIST!! As His servant I will not and never will be discouraged and will keep on keeping on FOR HIM.
