A young lady friend commited suicide 3 weeks ago, by hanging herself. I found the body and it wasn't a pretty picture. I don't have peace about this. I'm just wondering where she is right now?
I am aware that God has the final answer but would appreciate your thoughts and Biblical views about this.
Thank you. Brenda.

Dear Nancy, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers.
Her parents are not saved, her brother and sister are. She approached me on the Sunday morning (3 days before the suicide) to ask me to pray for the salvation of her parents. She was very desperate about the two of us praying immediately! She clung to my arm as we prayed fervently to the Lord for their salvation.
May our Father bless you abundantly in all things.

Hi Brenda,
having come close to attempting suicide years ago I now instinctively feel very saddened when I hear about people who have done it. I simply cannot give you a definitive answer about where your friend is right now - as you say God has the final answer. Can I suggest having a read of Hebrews 6:9-10 - In my words ..... God is not unjust and He will never forget the work and the love those have shown Him as they have helped His people (and presumably others?).
May God supply all your needs during this difficult time.
In Him,
Desmond

Hi Brenda,
I have been praying for you, your friends family and her other friends. If there is any other way that I could help please do let me know.
May God strengthen you as you work through this difficult time.
In Christ,
Desmond
Hello Brenda,
If your friend was born again than she is with the Lord, but if she was not born again, she is in Hell according to the word of God. Luke 16. Suicide plays no say so in the matter. what makes the difference is wherther she was born again or not.
Blessings
Hello to my brothers and sisters in Christ, who have given me words of encouragement and who are praying for me and her family. Thank you that you so readily wait on others to help where you can.
I would like to share my emotions with you....
I find myself weeping ever so often and have flashes of the suicide scene. I try my best not to think of it but I find myself almost consumed with this incident. My spirit is heavy and I feel so very sad.
I love the Lord and look to Him in all things. I have sat down in His presence many times and wept, telling Him about my emotions. I have given it all to Jesus and trust that His healing and peace will fill me.
Please continue to pray for her family as well, thank you.
God bless!
Brenda,
May God give you peace and healing as you move forward day-by-day.
Your question is very specific. In this I mean that you have identified two key parts. You identified the act of suicide and 2) that the person is a Christian. If we understand that the person is a Christian then we know that their salvation is not based on any works, and this includes suicide. We are saved by grace, not works. Thus, if this person is a born again Christian you have the assurance of God's Word that they are safe and at home with Jesus.
Lord Bless,
LT
