Beloved Chris,

 

Since heaven is not our eternal place of rest, but the new earth and the new heavens are, God may re instate the original plan we see in Adam and Eve, Husband and wife, so I would not count it out. :)

This place is my home for now and everyday I will rejoice and be glad in it, but this is not my Home, home hahaha my home, home is heaven and the new heavens and earth eventually. :)

 

I completely get what you are saying though and agree that this place is not my home. We are Sojourners in this land.

Thats Right! This earth is just my temporary home, Heaven is my real home, that's eternal!

Knowing I am not of this place gives me peace.  As in Phil 3:20 our citzenship is in heaven. So in a way I guess we are guest here, so it is important we conduct ourselves according.  I have always taken pride in where I

was born.  So as in Johm 1:13 I take comfort in knowing of whom I was born

It is comforting to know that we are not of this place and that we belong to the King of kings and Lord of lords. At the same time we are ambassadors in this land with a mission, commissioned by the King to do His bidding.

The bible is clear in teaching that this earth is not our final home. We are just passing through on our way to glory. We are pilgrims on this earth just passing through on our way to redemption by the Father.

 

No, this is not our home and you are not alone in feeling out of place in this world. All us believers are anxious to be transformed into our eternal, glorified bodies and arrive at our real heavenly home.

 

As the song says "a whole lot of people going home".Home is where our heart is and where we store our treasure. So I'll see you at home one day soon.
