Hi Joram,

 

There is no shame in asking others for advice and help. You should feel proud that you had the courage to seek advice and bring it out into the light..... First realize that all temptations can be beat with Gods help. Do these things.....Try praying to God before your tempted by porn, that way your mindset is proactive instead of reactive.  Pray and read your bible 'in the morning' and ask Christ to set the events of the day in order. Go on the offensive by praying before it happens instead of after and see if you don't get better results.

King David sinned during his free time. Our precious time must be spend for productive things not on the other way around.
Just like what raul said. if you can't help to use the computer, browse the site that will enhance your spiritual consciousness.
The more you get closer to God the more you would be able to convict that bad habit and influences. Try to put Bible on your side when you are using the computer and watching the DVD or television. Sinning and giving in to temptation is ignoring the presence our mighty God. In internet lot of site will pop up but the condition of your heart and mind will be a big factor before you power up your PC. Lust is a part of our sinful nature. We are sinful in nature that's why we need Gods grace and mercy to live in righteousness. God is faithful and just. God strength is perfect in our weakness, we just need to admit it that we are weak and always in need of God strength. Remember that we are not wrestling against flesh but with spirit. Holy Spirit against that bad spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 is the nine fruits of spirits that would manifest in the real Christians as we grow. First is love - ask yourself would you like other men lust for your wife? mother? sister? like you do? Start with loving my brethren then, joy, peace and etc. Greater is HE who is in us, than who is in this world. God bless brethren.......

Yup one has to avert ones eyes, look the other way, even pray for others spec, those who walk about tempting folks with wearing very small bits of clothing, its a habit one gets into catch yerself quick and stop it quick like with out sins dont pile em up oh yer an if you got the stuff in yer house bin it better still have a barbicue and burn it !.
