I had to get rid of all my occult things. I had things lingering in the house that I didn't realize. It took a while. But I just kept purging and finally got it.

I prayed something like this prayer:

Satan I renounce you and all your evil works. God, I confess all my darkness to you. I have done these occult sins and evil deeds, some of them I can't even remember. I am truly sorry and ask Your forgiveness. By the blood of Jesus, satan, be gone. Satan, you have no right anymore. I shut the door on you forever. Amen.

I felt the heaviness leave. I tore down every single thing that I could think of. If I discovered I missed something, I tore it down when I discovered it and didn't condemn myself. I still pray this prayer once in while when I discover I've messed up. Not perfect. Jesus has something I need. My perfect Lord.

Aditi, since you have only recently come to Christ, then it is very likely that demons have been sent to harass you. They are real. However, they are no match for the power of Christ in you, if you have truly trusted in him. I know something about this, from the truth of Scripture and from the evidence of personal experience.

I have good news for you: Jesus is able to remove these from you, if you are willing.

First: understand the word of God demonstrates that they cannot harm you, if you are trusting in Christ.

"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

"You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world." (1 John 4:4)

However, you must know that there is probably something you are doing to invite these into your presence. They cannot come to harass you without permission. Some questions:

1. Do you have any idols in your home?

2. Have you ever consecrated your home or anything in it to any idol or false god?

3. Are you still practicing any kind of worship or honor to any false god or idol?

4. Do you practice any chants or sing any songs that were from your past before you believed in Jesus?

If you answered yes to anything like that, then you are inviting these demons into your presence.

The good news is that the answers are simple and you can immediately have victory.

1. Confess your trust in Christ and his word. Read your Bible and confess the truth of the word's of Jesus and his Apostles as I have quoted above.

2. Remove everything that is an idol or has ever been consecrated to an idol or false god and burn it. (See Acts 19) Do not sell it, do not merely throw it away; but rather burn it and renounce it in the name of Jesus Christ.

3. Renounce every covenant or prayer or confession to a false god, which the Holy Spirit reveals to your memory, which you have made to a demon, false god or idol - do it in the name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. Say it audibly, but calmly and with confidence in Jesus.

4. Begin to sing praises to God in the name of Jesus and quote the word of God whenever these manifest. They hate two things: praise of the Almighty God in the name of Jesus and to hear the Word of God quoted by a believer. It may take several times of doing this, before they leave for good.

Begin establishing the reign of Christ in your home, by praising him in word and song - and - by speaking and doing the word of God in your home. These are the weapons of warfare against demons. Let the peace of Christ reign in your heart and your home.

If you look in Scripture, every time the people of God compromised with idolatry and every time there was a person who hid an idol in their home, there was disaster. God is clear - remove the unclean things from your presence. I suspect you may have an idol or a thing that invites these unclean things into your life.

Destroy the idols by fire, no matter the value. Do not look back. God will bless you and you do not need to trust in the old things.

Begin to consecrate your home as a temple of God. Clear out all wickedness and cleanse it with prayer and praises for the Lord God. Invite the presence of God in your life and in your home daily. The demons will flee like rats running from a house full of cats.

Do no be deceived. They are real and they will exercise influence where you allow them. Their main objective is to cause fear and to deceive you. God is greater. Jesus gives you the authority to remove them. You can ask another believer to join you, but you do NOT need an exorcist - you need to discover the authority that Jesus has given to you.

What came to mind, I had to renounce the words of my mouth. Please say a prayer for me, fellow Brothers and Sisters, in christ.

I would still like to keep all these people in prayer. I re-read the posts, and I just love God, and the fellow Christians who have reached out in insight, and prayer.

Lord, we ask for complete freedome from these attacks. We ask for wisdom to use the power that Jesus Christ has given us. Lord, Your word says that You will direct our path. Guide us Lord, to a closer walk, and give us the peace that passes all understanding, Amen.
