Psalm 42:5
"Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disqu ieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance".
Sometimes we allow our circumstances to dictate our life, even to the point of becoming depressed. It's in those times that we must question our inner man, and remember that our hope is in God. It's also in those times that we must learn to put our praise where our hope is. ( 1Pete r 1:6 and 7) "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while , if need be, you have been grieved by various trial s, vs.7 that the genuiness of your faith , being much more precious than gold perishes, though it be teste d by fire, may be found to praise, honor , and glory at the revel ation of Jesus Christ." We have to decide if hope or despair is going to win. The psalmnist says that he will "yet prais e Him" . Althogh his circumstances had not changed, his attitude toward them had. One of the synonyms for yet is " before". He declairs that he will praise him until his break through comes even while he is going through. His desire, much like ours should be, is to be in the presence of God, praising before His face. I'm not sure what you may be going through, but I dare you to praise Him in the mist of it. Your break through will come through your praise.
