The Bible and Spiritual Problems:
In the age of divergent spiritualities, how do we know God and know about Him? Over the centuries, the writings and teachings of religious leaders have enlightened our thinking as well as the experiences of godly men and women who have lived holy lives and walked with God. For many Christians, however, the Bible is viewed as the authoritative Word of God that never had its origin in the will of man, but came to us instead through people who spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. No data bank could contain all of God’s knowledge, and no human mind could comprehend what he knows, but He has revealed Himself in ways that impact us personally and guide our work as counselor.
God’s goal is for every believer to mature in Christ-likeness, but He knows that none of us will succeed completely this side of heaven. He wants us to be holy and follow in Christ like steps, although He knows that nobody will ever do that totally. He wants us to put on all of God’s armor, so that we can stand against all strategies and tricks of the Devil. Since we cannot fight life’s battles alone, we are instructed to give our bodies to God so that each is a living and holy sacrifice-the kind He will accept. We are told in the bible to stop sinning and flee youthful lusts, but God realizes that we are only fooling ourselves if we say we have no sin. So we are to confess our sins and expect forgiveness when we fall.
He sets up a high standard for our behavior because He is just and holy, but since no human being can reach God’s standard , He has provided a Savior who paid for our sin, and failures all because of His great love and mercy
God Bless you as we continue on this spiritual journey. .
