The Enemy

As believers, we must understand that we are under attack and are involved in Spiritual Warfare.  The enemy’s main strategies have been to deceive us and blind our eyes to the conflict we are engaged in, and make us defenseless against his attack. Jesus Christ has given us the necessary ammunitions we need to be victorious over our enemy.

 (2 Corinthians 10:3-4) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the  pulling down strong holds.

 (1Timothy 6:12) Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called , and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

We must understand that these weapons are not of the natural realm, but of the Spirit. We are under attack from the enemy in all areas of our daily lives and relationships- In our, Families, Finances, Jobs, Minds (mental) Bodies (health), Homes, Neighbors, Cities, Nations, and throughout the World.

We must be reminded that the most important thing to learn is that our warfare is not with our neighbors and or friends. It is with satan and his evil spirits. When we get into conflicts with people, it only leads to frustration and defeat.  It is important to know that of we are at war, and  we should be able to identify the enemy. Our enemies are not our families, friends, co-workers, government or our finances.

The apostle Paul describes our enemies very well. He said that our struggle was not with the people around us. We wrestle not against flesh and blood. (Ephesians 6:12) For we  wrestle not  against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual  wickedness in high places.

Peter also made it clear (1 Peter 5:8) Be sober , be vigilant: because you adversary the devil as  a roaring lion, walketh about , seeking whom he may devour.

The devil’s intent is to deceive us, with his scheme, strategies, and plans of deception, which he uses to defeat us. He has a military-style battle plan that he uses in an attempt to defeat us. As Christians we should be aware of these plans, and become more aware of what we have in our arsenal, the whole armor and weapons of God. The armor is for our defense. The weapons are for our victorious offence against our enemies.

(Ephesians 6:11) Put on the whole armour of God , that you may be able to  stand against the wiles of the devil.

Beloved don’t be discouraged, don’t be intimidated, know your authority in Jesus Christ. We must not become preoccupied or overly impressed with the devil and his demonic forces. He is a liar. Instead we should focus on Jesus Christ. As we stay focused on Him, we will become aware of our restored authority in through Him.
