Scriptural Readings: I timothy 6:9-10, Romans 1:20, 9:20
King James Version
I timothy 6:9-10
v.9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
v.10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
New Living Translation
v.9 But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction.
v.10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.
Everything comes quickly. Time passes like a wink of an eye. We have barely noticed what is happening or what has happened. We've focused more our attention on many things, and we got interested and excited with so much on these things that we have forgotten what matters.
The 24-hour cycle offers us a lot of confusion, and we are filled up with mixed emotions ending up with wrong choices, living up to these false standards, and to top of it all, of course, the cream of the crop, our problems. We easily get mad if some things don’t go our way, plus the fact of having difficulties knowing what to prioritize. When these things piled, we wandered from the true faith and pierced with many sorrows.
With all these things currently happening in our chaotic world, uncertainties have increased their levels. Now we ask. Where is God? Would He intentionally hide?
King James Version
Romans 1:20
v.20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
New Living Translation
v.20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
For most of us, a way to understand and remedy the things we have been suffering from is to make use of the easier things available for us, and one of them is nature and its laws. These laws are there for us to see, study, and understand for our benefit. However, along the way, as we get to know more and acquainted with these things about nature and its laws, it seems that we have disconnected from the truth and our spiritual well-being. We refused to accept and understand the power of our Creator to resolve our problems through our futile actions.
King James Version
Romans 9:20
v.20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus?
New Living Translation
v.20 No, don’t say that. Who are you, a mere human being, to argue with God? Should the thing that was created say to the one who created it, “Why have you made me like this?”
For sure, some will argue, and it is normal. Instead, we use these laws as a point of argument against Him. We rely on our knowledge using our five senses and our feelings, which we all know are unreliable. Some who believe in God, always have the excuse of blaming Him. We use our inutile and finite minds to settle our incompetencies instead of faith. As Christians, God said that He will give us the wisdom to confront this issue. Some things will hold us back from having a good relationship with God. As long as we continue to make feelings ahead of us rather than faith, we will remain spiritually blind. Faith is what God wants us to work on. The difference between the two is that feelings are unstable, while faith becomes strong that we can rely upon and stand on.
God is not hidden. The truth is, we are blind because of our unbelief and our sinful nature. This is the reason why we see things unclearly, or we are utterly blind with our faith in Him. We are the creation, and we must not be having the reasons nor the right to question God’s sovereignty and decisions. We must trust and put our faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The incarnated God. The bible said that He will never leave us nor forsake us. This promise alone will take us on the right path we are looking for. The moment we put our faith and trust in Him, the Holy Spirit will work on us. We are going to comprehend completely not only the laws of nature but also the divine nature. Alleluia!
