Why I Joined Christian Social Networks

Greetings Brothers & Sisters in Christ & Shalom!

I joined this site awhile ago now, but have not visited it regularly. I joined to fellowship with other Brothers & Sisters in Christ. My main purpose for joining this or any Christian Social Network & even others like Facebook, MySpace & Twitter (I am on those & other Christian sites) is to lift up the Name of Jesus!

I, also, am here to find prayer partners and pray with/for and encourage others in the Lord! Maybe there may be some join who have not met our Lord & what an opportunity to share Jesus & lead them to Him. Also, it is great to have others to share our like precious faith with and pray together when we need prayer!

That is why I joined this site! It was recommended to me site administrators of another Network that was closing down. I don't remember the name of that one now. I am glad for this site for I found it so far to be as it says "All About God."

What Should Social Networks be About/For in my opinion? First of all to lift up Jesus, To meet other believers & those seeking to find Him. To pray for and encourage one another in the Lord. I have found some that were not doctrinally sound (not according to what I believe but what the Word of God says) and I am no longer a member on those Christan Networks.

I know sometimes single Christians do meet others and get together, but I have found some chat rooms being used mainly for that purpose. I personally do not feel Christian Social Networks should be for that reason. It is okay if someone does meet someone else & get together in a relationship if that is the Lord's will for them. It just seems with some that may be their main reason for joining. I decided to express how I felt on the Christian Network where I am a member.

I am not saying these things because of this site, but just an opinion I have come to from the few Networks I have been a member. I think that is why I don't visit them as often as I do other Networks. I mainly use other general social networks to post scripture & things about the Lord as a testimony to Him.

It is great to be able to interact with other believers & even those who don't know the Lord as yet, but may come to Him as a result of Scripture or encouraging thoughts posted online! What a testimony and opportunity we have to share our faith with others, amen? Amen!

So, I pray others understand why I started this discussions & if you want to add to the discussion please do so. What do you think a Christian Network is about/and/or for? I, also, would like to meet new Christian Brothers & Sisters in Christ on this & other Networks! Have a blessed day everyone!

I am sending this to everyone as well as my friends. I hope to meet others of like precious faith & even those that join for other reasons as I am praying they come hear & see Jesus in what we say(write). I pray they personally find them as their Savior & Lord! I am always willing to pray with/and/or for you brothers & sisters & earnestly covet your prayers for myself & my family.
