Why Do People, Claiming to be Christians, Participate in Stalking by Proxy, Workplace Bullying and Mobbing, and Character Assassination

Stalking by proxy is when one person convinces other people to torment and traumatize another person. Personal property is vandalized, breaking and entering takes place, pets are often killed, illegal phone taps, reptiles placed in the home and more. This can take place for many years. It's a type of psychological warfare, methodical, and the target is ridiculed, humiliated, and utterly destroyed. Many targets either commit suicide or have complete nervous breakdowns. Targets are political activists, someone who knows something that is threatening to someone else, such as a politician or company, and others targeted by certain "religious" groups. People are often beguilded into participation in these campaigns, being told the target is under investigation for some heinous crime and help is needed or needs to be driven out of town for one reason or another. The person who initially targeted the individual starts it for different reasons, possibilities are revenge, jealousy, to keep someone silent. More information later.

Workplace bullying and mobbing is when one or more people in an office decide to jointly bully a co-worker. They may want that worker to leave, may feel threatened by the quality of work the person does, or just may not like the person. It's a no-win situation for the target.

My main questions were:

  • Who would launch such vicious attacks against another
  • Who would agree to go along with it and join in the attack, hurting another they sometimes do not even know
  • Who are the most likely targets
  • What does God think of each of these people in the above-referenced categories -- those who launch the attack, those who participate, and the targets.
  • What's going to happen to everybody in the end?

I believe Scripture has all the answers. But I'd like to see what other people think about this whole thing.

When you turn to God, you have all the help you need, truly. God is the only one who can protect us, guide us in our spiritual development, and turn what other people mean for evil against us into something that helps us in our spiritual development and emotional maturity at the same time.

Wow very interesting topic..i dont know all the answers but i have been for a while a subject (dont wanna call myself a victim) of bullying at work.
The bullying does not come form other christians but unsaved colleagues.
All my strength comes from the Lord,His strength is made perfect in my weakness.
Glory to Him because though i am afflicted,He has a bigger and better plan for me.
Thanks for your topic,i would have loved to read what other people had to say about it.
