Why are we so hesitant to Witness for Christ?

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

1 Tim. 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.

We have the power, spirit of love and a sound mind. We have recieve the calling to be witnesses unto Him....but we fall short of witnessing in our day to day life. I know that witnessing is not just talking to others, but it is also living a life pleasing unto God for the sake that others may see Him through our journey....yet there is that lost generation that have yet to have someone try to speak salvation into their life.

At what point does it become disobedience or selfishness on our part? Why are we as Christians so hesitant? The Jehovah Witnesses will walk up to your door and debate their bible versus our Holy Bible Genesis through Revelations...where are we?
