One of the great things about having a blog is I can express how I am feeling and what I am thinking and put it in writing. Right now my voice is for the unborn who are being killed by abortion everyday in this country and around the world. They don't have a voice. They can't defend themselves before they are slaughtered. They can't plead their case to anyone because they have no voice. Someone has to speak up for them.
I understand (as much as I can being a man) the agonizing decision a woman or young girl has to make to terminate her child. I know it isn't an easy decision. But the fact is, every abortion results in a dead baby.
When I hear other Christians say they believe abortion is murder and then turn around and say they would never try and talk a woman out of an abortion, it boggles my mind.
God offers forgiveness, even when we knowingly sin. Abortion is a sin. It is murder. God will forgive. If we acknowledge our sin, repent, and ask for forgiveness.
I also know the US Supreme Court legalized abortion in 1973 and I know if
Roe v. Wade were overturned tomorrow abortions would not stop!
Abortions are so ingrained in our society I don't know if they will ever end. Abortion is a billion dollar industry in this country and around the world. There are thousands of abortion mills all around this country. Abortion is the most common form of surgery performed in this country!!!!
But who will speak up for the little ones who have no voice? Who will? Who will speak up for the babies?
I consider myself a missionary for the unborn. I know many people don't share my passion. There are many, many people, good people who are doing what they can to help prevent teen girls from getting pregnant and helping girls who are pregnant deal with their pregnancy. My wife has a burden for girls and wants to help them remain pure until marriage. Crisis Pregnancy Centers provide an alternative to girls and women who are pregnant so they won't abort. I would never diminish what they are doing. I pray that they will continue to do what God has called them to do. They are on the front lines.
22 years ago my son was saved from being aborted when my wife at the time (we are now divorced and I have remarried) and I adopted him. He recently got married. So yes, this issue is a passion for me. My passion led us to adopt him.
If I sound harsh and uncaring I don't mean to be. It frustrates me that Christians don't share my passion. Or maybe I just don't see it the way they do. And churches who condone abortion I just don't understand.
I don't expect anyone else to understand what I am feeling.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN UNBORN CHILD AND ONE WHO IS BORN. IF A NEWBORN BABY IS KILLED OR DUMPED IN A PUBLIC BATHROOM OR TRASH DUMPSTER THEN SOCIETY CRIES OUT IN DEFENSE AND JUSTICE FOR THAT CHILD. WHEN AN UNBORN CHILD IS KILLED IN AN ABORTION MILL, (WELL, IT IS JUST THE WOMAN'S CHOICE) WHO WILL SPEAK UP FOR HIM OR HER??? DON'T SAY YOU THINK ABORTION IS MURDER AND THEN TURN AROUND AND SAY YOU WON'T TRY AND SAVE THE UNBORN FROM ABORTION.
I'm not expecting anyone to agree with me. I am passionate about this. Sometimes I wish I wasn't. But once something has been revealed to you, you just can't go back.
My prayer is that God would bring fire down on every abortion killing center in this country and bring an end to the killing! If that sounds harsh to you, well...
