'Who will not fear you, O Lord, and bring glory to Your Name?' - Revelation 15:4
The victors who remained standing 1900 years ago or during the Middle Ages, the victors of yesterday, of today and also of tomorrow, sing the song of Moses and ask: 'Who will not fear You, O Lord, and bring glory to Your Name?' (Rev 15:4). Look at Revelation 15:1-4, the answer would be: Those who do not fear the Lord - who don't try to know Him better, consult Him, or worship Him with thankfulness and joy - are earthly people who:
* risk ignoring the wrath of God over sin (15:1)
* see great and marvellous things occuring, hear a great and marvellous gospel, and yet regard the God who does
everything and gives everything as a subdivision of their own great and important existence (15:3)
* don't make time to ponder the deeds and actions of God (15:3b)
* don't acknowledge God as King of the nations (15:3c)
Who shall not fear You, Lord? It is only heathens who are guilty of this? God, the Knower of hearts, knows: the fear and glorification of the Lord has disappeared from the homes of tens of thousands of so-called Christian people.
Lord, King of the nations, how often I fear your punishment, as though I were still an unredeemed sinner. How often I bring this fear upon myself, simply because I don't pursue the true fear of the Lord. Help me to fear You with ever-present awareness of Your supremacy and wonderment, the thankfulness and worship that are You due. Amen!
