All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

There are 4 Baptisms for Believers

Baptism with water.  (Here the Minister is the agent administering it and the water is the element)

Baptism with the Holy Ghost.  (Here Christ is the agent administering it, and the Holy Ghost becomes the element.)

Baptism into Christ.  (Here the Holy Ghost is the agent administering it, and Christ becomes the element)

Baptism into the Body of Christ.  (Here the Holy Ghost is the agent administering it, and the Church becomes the

                                                               element)

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the

Holy Ghost" (Mt.28:19)

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (Acts.2:38)

"Baptizing them in the [Determiner]    Determiners are used to identify things in further detail.

Name [Proper Name/ Noun] -   a name used for an individual person, place, or organization, to Identify him........

of the Father [Title Noun]  -   a word or name that describes a person's job in a company or organization.

and of the Son [Title Noun]  -   a word or name that describes a person's job in a company or organization.

and of the Holy Ghost [Title Noun]  -  a word or name that describes a person's job in a company or organization.

Jesus said, "In the Name (Sing. Tense) and not Name[s] (Plur. Tense]

He was referring to a specific Name which the Apostles understood as is recorded on the day of Pentecost.

Here in Mt.28:19, Christ very clearly points out His position in the Godhead, that He is the Son, not to Himself, but to

THE [Determiner] Father.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE NAME

In my Passport, it is wriiten, " In the name of the President"

The President of the Republic of South Africa requests all whom it may concern to allow the bearer of this Passport to pass freely without let or hindrance and to afford the bearer all necessary assistance and protection

The Name of Christ is our Passport through this weary land.  We are pilgrims, citizens of the Heavenly Country, and our Passport is the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I SHALL FEAR NO EVIL

Baptism means a dying, a burial. The water becomes a grave.

Rom_6:4  Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death........

Col_2:12  Buried with him in baptism......

With the Name of Jesus, we have passed through the "Valley of the Shadow of Death", and by the authority of that Name demons could not tie down ("Therefore God has given Him a Name that is Above every name") for we rose from that watery grave, a symbol of which is to take place in the physical.

What a lovely Name the Name of Jesus, for that Name is a Strong and Mighty Tower, the righteous run into it and they are safe!!!!

DYING TO THE OLD SELF

The real meaning of water Baptism means, A confessing to the Dying of the old man.

A dead man see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil, totally cut off from the world of the living.

It starts with the Confessing in Baptism and continues with a daily crucifying of the flesh.
