What is Truth? (Part 3)

HOW DO WE MEASURE UP?

As I was thinking about truth, it reminded of a rule or a tape measure … something that is reliable… that you can measure by.

And I thought about how we humans measure other people by all sorts of standards… and oh how wrong our judgment can be!! We use the wrong measure. We do not see what’s in the heart.

And then this morning, I thought of the song, “The measure of a man” by Clay Aiken. Just found the lyrics!… so its some food for thought.

This world can analyze and size you up
And throw you on the scales
They can IQ you and run you through
Their rigorous details
They can do their best to rate you
And they’ll place you on their charts
And then back it up with scientific smarts
But there’s more to what your worth
Than what their human eyes can see
