Rev 22:20
He which “testifieth these things” - The Lord Jesus; for he it was that had, through the instrumentality of the angel, borne this solemn witness to the truth of these things, and this book was to be regarded as his revelation to mankind.
This Book that we call the Holy Bible is a book of, war, deliverance, insight, prophecy, salvation, and a guide threw this life, and into the next. For as it is written, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
The Bible is not about acceptance of sin, compromise, false idols, false religions, or lies, it is about the truth, and the saving grace sent from the Lord, for all mankind if His word is accepted. We cannot find anywhere in the world a book more popular or most hated, for Jesus came not to bring peace but a sword, not to bring combination but devision. “I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straitened till it be accomplished! Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division: For from henceforth there shall be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.”
The Holy Bible is a book of war.
1.Spiritual.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, simply means, removing anything, religion, or idol, that puts itself above God and His word. The Bible tells us that in the end days many scoffers shall arise, putting down any and all who would believe in God and his Christ. We cannot be partakers of false religions or the imaginations of man, for mans thoughts are not the thoughts of God.
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” Our warfare is not with the arms of mankind, no tanks, no guns, no terror, but of the preaching of Christ to those that are lost. We have spiritual weapons at our disposal and we will, if the Lord permits, use them to seek out and teach Christ to a lost and dieing world. If you look at the teachings of Christ, you will see that Christianity is not a religion being forced upon anyone. This is a free accepted choice, not as some religions of today, which war with the weapons of man, killing, raping, and murdering, anyone that seeks out Christ.
2. Revenge.
“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
Future Prophecy; “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”
“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.”
“And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.”
War shall be upon the earth, for God shall avenge His people, that have believed upon His Son, taking vengeance against all who have murdered, raped, persecuted, hounded, and made slight of all, who were saved. He shall say, “Let your gods save you, let them come to your aid, when you are hungry, naked, in peril, let them comfort you, let them speak to you words of hope.” “To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.”
“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;” God has called all men to repent and believe in His Son. But multitudes refuse this call, saying they prefer their own gods and ways. They have disregarded His hand, whom is Jesus, His Christ.
“But ye have set at nought all my counsel( exhortations, warnings, admonishing, or instructions.), and would none of my reproof (Blame expressed to the face; censure for a fault; reprehension.):
They will ignore Gods council for it is against everything they try to do in this world to make themselves great.
How can one false religion be able to control all mankind, for man is a solitary being, with his own reasoning, challenges, thoughts and decisions. Mighty men of the past have all tried to conquer the world with violence, and all have failed. This world is not mans to control but rather it belongs to God, and His will, shall be done.
“I also will laugh at your calamity (Any great misfortune, or cause of misery; generally applied to events or disasters which produce extensive evils, as loss of crops, earthquakes, conflagrations, defeat of armies, and the like. But it is applied also to the misfortunes which bring great distress upon individuals.);
I will mock ( Ridicule; derision; sneer; an act manifesting contempt.) when your fear cometh;
When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction (The act of destroying; demolition; a pulling down; subversion; ruin, by whatever means; as the destruction of buildings, or of towns. Destruction consists in the annihilation of the form of any thing; that form of parts which constitutes it what it is; as the destruction of forests, by burning down the trees; or it denotes a total annihilation; as the destruction of a particular government, religion, laws; the destruction of happiness.)
cometh as a whirlwind (A violent wind); when distress and anguish cometh upon you.” Distress and anguish are on every side, every nation and every continent. Men have gone after false gods and science to repair the damage that he has done to this once beautiful world.
Mans future. “Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.”
They have, and still are, hating the knowledge of God that states, that all men are created equally and shall all be judged upon their works, weather they were good or bad, weather they believed upon His Son, or rejected Him. Gods spirit will not always strive with man, as a nation, or an individual. He has the right to cut off His mercies where ever or where ever He desires, for we all belong to Him.
Gods Mercy. “What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?”
