WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS ABOUT TITLES

I WAS GOING TO POST THESE SCRIPTURES IN A COMMENT ON ANOTHER BLOG WRITTEN HERE BUT IT WAS NOT OPEN TO COMMENTS SO I PRAY THIS HELPS AS THE OPINION OF THE AUTHOR OF THE BLOG IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT AND SHE IS STANDING ON GOD'S WORD AND NOT JUST HOLDING AN OPINION. GOD BLESS YOU ALL THIS DAY OUR LORD HAS GIVEN.


The word “pastors” occurs ONCE in the N.T. in Ephesians 4:11(And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;) and NOT as a title.

Apostles and Prophets were never meant to be titles. They are FUNCTIONAL GIFTS!!

"But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ" (Matthew 23:8-10).

"But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted" (Matthew 23:11-12).

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man. For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away" (Job 32:21-22).

"by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me" (1 Corinthians 15:10

ADD THOU NOT UNTO HIS WORD LEST HE REPROVE THEE AND THOU BE FOUND A LIAR "THAT YE MIGHT LEARN NOT TO GO BEYOND THE THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN. 1CORINTHIANS 4:6
