What does it mean to Walk with God

Q. What does it mean to walk with God? Did Enoch go straight to heaven because he walked with God?

A. Enoch walked with God in faith, he believed God and obeyed Him. Note verse twenty in Genesis five. Jared was nine hundred sixty two years old: and he died. No mention of him walking with God. [Genesis 5:20]. "And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God : and he [was] not; for God took him." (Genesis 5:21-24, KJV) Enoch died in faith and walked with God all of his life.

Now look at Genesis 6:9. God also counted Noah among those men of faith who walked with God, a just man, perfect in his generation.

"These [are] the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man [and] perfect in his generations, [and] Noah walked with God. And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. " (Genesis 6:9-10, KJV) "By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

"By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went." (Hebrews 11:5-8, KJV)
