Welcome to the world dear one and to our home of love

We know you have been sent to us by the Father up above

For nine long months I carried you safe inside of me

Now as I hold you in my arms what a miracle I see

I see your tiny hands and feet your eyes so bright and clear

I feel the love you have to give when I hold you near

Someday I'll have to let you go and watch you learn to fly

Then I'll look up above the clouds and see you soaring high

Of course you can't start out that way you'll have to take it slow

But know my love will follow you no matter where you go
