verse 18

Heb 2:14-18 14 Because God’s Children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could He die, and only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. 15 Only in this way could He set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying. 16 We also know that the Son did not come to help angels; He came to help the descendants of Abraham. 17 Therefore, it was necessary for Him to be made in every respect like us, His brothers and sisters, so that He could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God. Then He could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people. 18 Since He Himself has gone through suffering and testing, He is able to help us when we are being tested.
In these verses are held the tools and understanding we need to be Victorious. We see that we are God’s Children. We also see that Jesus became like us in every respect. We see of the enemy and what power it had, before the Sacrifice Jesus made for us. We also see He is our Merciful and Faithful High Priest. These are important to us because, by His Sacrifice our sins have been taken away. This by far is the most important gift we are given, for it is Eternal. In verse 18 holds a great Ability for our daily lives. He is able to help us, in times of our testing. He went through suffering and testing as we do. All too often we do not consider the Authority given, that is held in this fact. This is however, something we need time and time again in our lives. Praise God that He died for us. That will affect our eternality. But, we die but once. To know He went through testing and suffering, so He is able to help us when we are being tested. Well, that will affect us many times over in our life. Why, is this so important? The first word holds the clue. “Since;” by reason of, because He suffered and was tested, He understands what it is like to go through these types of things. We are able to tap into His Wisdom so we come out Victorious. We will not be able to tell God, “You do not know what it is like!” As with all things we must apply Faith. Faith in His Word, Faith when it tells us Jesus is there for us. He tells the Father about who these types of things, make us feel. One of the greatest advantages, one of the reasons we must tap into the Spirit is, God sees past all of these things. He understands the benefits we gain by applying our Faith to things. We can get caught up in the moment so very easily. We can even have trouble getting bound up so we only see the problem, this will block our view of the solution. Even when it not only is in front of our nose, but deep in our hearts. We use to say things like, “Let go and let God!” “God is my Pilot, I am the co-pilot!” These two scratch only the surface, there is a much deeper Truth. As said earlier, “...God sees past all of these things. He understands the benefits we gain...” We always have a choice, pain, frustration, despair, and on and on. Or, His Peace, Wisdom, His Mercy, Grace, and On and On. He will never leave or forsake us, His Mercies endure forever, talk about the “Right Stuff!” We Must learn to Believe. learn how to apply our Faith. Once, you truly Believe, the rest begins to fall in line. What to Believe you ask? First that His Love for us is real. This is of course, after you Believe that the unseen is more real than the seen. Step by step we go, helping others as we walk the narrow path, that leads us to Heavens Gates. May the Lord Bless and Keep you All.
