Turn away from Religion and turn to grace.

Thank you Jesus for  dying for me on the  cross. I was reading Mark 14:53-57. When Jesus was taken to the high priest home with the leading priests, the elders, and the teachers of religious law. And to sum it up they were trying to find all kinds of accusations against Jesus. But they could not find any. As the word of God says in Mark 14:55-Inside the leading priests and the entire high council were trying to find evidence against Jesus, so they could put him to death. But they couldn't find any. Jesus is completely innocent, but yet they wanted to find fault with him any way . Because religion says we cannot be save by just believing in Jesus , we have to put our performance into it to be qualify . We have to be wiser in our eyes and make up laws about what to touch, what to eat. Religion likes to put yokes on our lives that we cannot carry. But Jesus is the one who takes our burdens and put his easy yoke on  us. As the word of God says in Matthew 11:29 - Take  my yoke upon you. Let me teach you , because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Religion is also a killer against righteousness. As the word of God says in 1 John 3:12- We must not be like Cain; who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had be doing what was righteous . Which probably explains why the Pharisees and others and us wanted to murder Jesus. Because Jesus  did what was right and show them what the God did. As the word of God says in  John 14:10- Don't you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me?  The words I speak are not my own, but my Father  who lives in me does his work through me. Jesus I believe was a constant reminder that they were just really dirty people, but just had an appearance of righteous. As the word of God says in Luke 11:39- Then the Lord said to him, " You Pharisees are so careful to clean the outside of the cup and the dish, but inside you are filthy full of greed and wickedness. You have to remember the Lord knows the heart. As the word of God says in Jeremiah 17:9- The human heart is the most deceitful of all things and desperately wicked . Who really knows how bad it is? Jeremiah 17:10- But I , the Lord search all hearts and examine secret motives. There is nothing more convicting than seeing the light of the world in the presence of darkness. You know darkness and light cannot keep company. And light always win. As the word of God says in  John 1:5- The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can  never  extinguish it.
