Trees to my little girl

My little girl was intrigued

Watching the bending and folding of the trees.

As they swayed this way and that

She asked why don’t the trees break?

While pondering a thought within

I told her it only the wind making the trees to bend.

With yet another question in her mind

She asked "what is wind" with a sigh -

With no accepted wisdom to reply I too had to sigh,

Hmmm and ahhh only comes to mind

until God provided me with a sign.

I retort

It is God blowing his breath through the leaves

and branches of the trees

That is what made the trees bend.

Now when the trees bend and fold

My little girl remebers what I told

It is God who make the trees bend
