Totally Mind-Blowing!! Awesome!!!

I got thinking about LIGHT AND LIFE...
"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." (John 1:4, NKJ)

As it says in 1 Timothy 6:16, about how He dwells in unapproachable light! And one of our group said, "Light is the essence of the universe."

This got me thinking about the most powerful light and energy source we know, the SUN. Yet it was created by Him who is the Source of Life and Light.

In Wikepedia I read these facts about the sun's energy:
"Only a minuscule fraction of the available solar energy is used.... The amount of solar energy reaching the surface of the planet is so vast that in one year it is about twice as much as will ever be obtained from all of the Earth's non-renewable resources of coal, oil, natural gas, and mined uranium combined."

And when you consider that OUR sun is only ONE of all the innumerable suns (stars) in the universe, and ours is one of the smaller ones. WOW!! That sure is a lot of energy and light.

But here we read in John that Jesus is the One who created all that. "In Him was life, and the life was the light of men."

Totally awesome!! What a mighty God we have!!
