Too much focus on Heaven?

 Sorry if my title sounds anti, I am sure it got your attention. The reason for this post is a person's frame of mind. It makes me wonder how many people are focused on the concept of Heaven only because it is better than the alternative? Don't get me wrong, I think about the beauty and greatness that is the destination that I am working towards. I think of the elimination of the pain in my joints and also being free of all sin. But, it isn't what I think about. There is a time and a place to focus about Heaven. I think that is when all the works and learnings on earth are complete. Its kind of like putting the plow before the horse. Some people want Heaven without the hard work that is involved in getting there. Instead of seeking  the wisdom that makes us complete in order to walk through the gates.

 I hope the people on this site are enjoying the journey as much as I am. To me Heaven is a place on earth. Having the Holy Spirit inside of me is Heaven to me. And although I acknowledge the beauty of the mountains and the artistic landscape that God provides, to me it is just frosting on the cake. My Heaven is my faith and trust in God. The landscape is the frosting. The love He provides me now is more than I can ever imagine. The understanding of how much stronger that love is in Heaven really is something that is hard to comprehend for the feeling of His love for me now is at an alltime high!!
