All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

THIS IS ME Stacey Osana Arquines :) I hope you enjoy the story of how it all began when I was Reborn on February 17, 2010

My story with God begins at the age of 4 when I was baptized in the Catholic Church. I remember watching my aunts and uncles always praying I never "understood" what it was all about until the age of 7. At age
7 I accompanied my two sisters in their Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
(RCIA) sessions. From what I can recall I was fairly active in answering the
questions that the RCIA facilitator was asking from everyone who attended the
session. After a couple of years I stopped going to church, like a kid I just
wanted to sleep in and so I did. My parents never forced my siblings and I to
go to church as we grew older. We all grew up taking our own initiative to go
to church. I remember my parents constantly insisting that we should go to
church, but never were we punished if we decided not to go. Then in the eighth
grade I started to question why I was never able to eat the bread of life, the
Eucharist. I made my own decision for the want to become a part of the
community that was able to eat this bread. I wanted to feel included as one who
was able to consume the Eucharist. I didn't know what it meant to eat the bread
of life all I knew at the time was I wanted to be able to take first communion.
As I questioned how I might become a member who can eat the Eucharist I
began to learn more about God and this is where my relationship with God began
to build. Eventually the journey with God led me into joining my church youth
group and serving as a staff member for church retreats. By the time I realized
it I was heading to college... I believed in God the Father, the Son, and the
Holy Spirit, but I didn't really know what it meant until my brother passed
away two years ago. That was when my faith was really tested. My faith did not
shake. When my brother passed away I did not question if he existed I actually
told God that my life is in his hands and I remembered the saying that goes
"God does not give you things you cannot handle." The strength people
saw in me did not last long though after a couple months I was fast to anger
and everything irritated me. Eventually I cried out and broke down to the Lord
and I asked him to help me to see the beauty in everything around me. I prayed
asking God to give me the strength that I needed. I told him that I couldn't do
anything without him. From then on my life changed. I believe that I am reborn.
I question many things and I continue to love learning more things about God.
He amazes me all the time and everything has just begun. I get goosebumps all
the time and I cry when I see the beauty in life :)

I am a very open minded person. I like to do random acts of kindness, and deep conversations are the best. I enjoy talking to others about anything and everything. Human interaction is beautiful. I love church, if you
know what I mean :)

I don't like to say what my passion is and I like people to figure it out through my actions but I choose to type my passion here to finish the sentence. I'm passionate about helping others and exemplifying mutual love.

I do not judge anything and I keep an open mind. Books are awesome, you learn a ton from reading, Cooking is fun you get to feed people with the delicious food cooked and prayed over, Dancing is good for the body
it's exercise, and Having deep conversations are the best, with them you can
share ideas and question one another :) Babysitting is wonderful you get to see
children grow.

THIS IS ME AND THIS IS REAL. SO IN A WORLD WHERE I CAN BE ANYTHING I AM GOING TO BE THE SPECIAL ORDINARY ME LIVING THE UNIQUE LIFE THAT WAS MEANT TO BE :)

I HOPE YOU LIVE A WONDERFUL LIFE AND MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER AMEN.
