Thanks again to all who have written or added as a friend. I have prayed much that the Lord could reach my wife. I have read the whole New Testament. I have asked jesus in his name to help. Nothing has changed but I can say I have a greater understanding of God's ways and what the bible says about marriage and separation and adultery.
We are as it says like a morning mist in the great scheme of things. As time slips away I can see the deadline moving closer. I expect as the law states when living apart for a year, I will get the papers served to me. All efforts including her Pastor are ignored. I am thinking the believer is becoming the unbeliever and myself becoming the believer. Such a strange turn of events.
One day I want to get on with life, the next I am back in the reconcile mode. In my prayers I ask that if a reconcilliation were to happen, could the Lord disperse all the negativeness that caused this horrible silent war and all the damage.. It's a good question as who could want to live with a bitter frozen vengeful wife. As Missy says, some prayers are better off not answered. Whatever the outcome, the Lord knows best and will find a way to help both parties in their own lives
Yes God hates divorce. The bible says should the unbeliever leave all is okay for the believer. The believer though has a different set of rules as they must reconcile or stay single untill adultery or death occurs. I think what the bible says is that if one is born again and baptized all sins are washed away. If I did the expected thing and set in motion a divorce before being reborn, this would set the believer free. I think this is the game being played by the believer, create enough tension and aggravation so that the unbeliever does the actual filing. Would God see through this game? Surely it must be sinfull to try and outwit the lord.
