The Resurrection
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is quite fundamental to our faith.And its by it that our faith is built up upon because we have to believe that Jesus Christ indeed arose from the dead.Question is what is the message behind the resurrection and of what importance is it to the believer.Moderation Is:When responding you will either be speaking 1-To a believer who doesn't understand this(Begin with the words believer then comment) and 2-To a non believer(Begin with the words Nbeliever then comment).In both instances the assumption is they know about the resurrection of Jesus Christ i.e they already have background information

In 1 Peter 1:20 -21
"He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you
who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory , SO THAT YOUR FAITH AND HOPE ARE IN GOD."
Also in 1 Peter 1: 3-5
" Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has
begotten us to a LIVING HOPE through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an INHERITANCE INCORRUPTIBLE and UNDEFILED and that does not fade away, RESERVED
in heaven for you who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in
the last time. "
The message , in my opinion , is that we hav a 'living hope' to carry us through this life and into the glorious beyond . God sealed this promise to us by the resurrection.

@Alan...you are getting there 1 Cor 15:14 is the place to start.After the resurrection this is what happened " I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."Daniel 7:13-14 KJV Can you build from here?

@Allan....I agree with you Allan "faith comes by hearing and hearing from the word of God" I believe the original message here was that "faith comes from believing and belief from the word of God"That addresses the first bit of your statement...no Word no Faith.My question revolves around the message behind the resurrection..."Question is what is the message behind the resurrection and of what importance is it to the believer?"I believe there is more to it than just meets the eye
