THE POWER OF “NOTHING” PART 2 ____ NOTHING TO LOOSE

Pride is a big problem for many people. When our self-esteem and reputation are at stake, we will do anything to keep it. Having pride is in contradiction with the character of Jesus. He said
"Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but [always] Yours be done. (Luke 22:42 Amplified Bible).

Jesus showed that He had no fear in losing something or having something taken from Him because He knew that all things He had, were given to Him by God the Father
(John 17:7). Jesus was fully aware that He was only carrying out the will of His Father in Heaven who sent Him on a rescue mission to save the world (John 3:16; John 6:38).
When we feel afraid that we might lose something, then we will fight to keep it. In fact, we will often use everything we have to keep what we own.

We may use their position at work, maybe our wealth, social status and even our ministry to keep it all. But the reality is that if we want honor from God we must do simple things, like set
out the chairs in the church or preparing food for our cell group and not be afraid of showing humility.

We need to remind ourselves on a daily basis that we own nothing in this world. Everything we have is a gift from God (James 1:17). At anytime God can take it away. The truth of "nothing
to lose" is found in being humble.

I am very grateful to be a member of my Church. I really am blessed by the lives of every member and all its leaders. They are the real example of how to live out the power of “nothing to
lose”. It is like Jesus said, “Whoever exalts himself [with haughtiness and empty pride] shall be humbled (brought low), and whoever humbles himself [whoever has a modest opinion of
himself and behaves accordingly] shall be raised to honor.” (Matthew 23:12 Amplified Bible).
