The Place
The World had eaten up every ounce of the Love a young child had been given to give.
Choked.
Emptied.
Squeezed.
And placed them just two houses down the street to death.
But one Decision,
To Notice,
To pay Attention,
To Acknowledge.
Opened a bright door and ushered them into a new life.
A brand new chance to live right, talk right, but most importantly walk right with the Master and Finisher.
Opportunity was grabbed with both hands,
Embraced and held close to the heart,
Because for the first time a child could breathe.
Life was real,
No longer a myth and an impossible goal to attain.
But the old had really died and God was allowed free reign,
As in them He was allowed to throw away His work permit and take up permanent residence.
Peace momentarily resided
As God had to move furniture that the child was comfortable having in this house.
His house.
The child disobeyed.
Repented.
Cried
As she watched the furniture move,
As he watched God move.
Telling them,
"Let go!"
God knew.
God knows.
God will forever know Best.
But the Child had not grasped this yet.
Peace was still a short-lived thing,
Joy came in, every now and then,
Unforgiveness and Pride stood tall in this heart that contrary to trend was willing to learn and be corrected.
But God decided,
You are ready...
Another door flung open.
Hands lifted high in worship and praise,
God ushered a young mind into The Place.
Unforgiveness was placed at the forefront,
Received the whip and was dealt with at the foot of the King.
Right there in His presence.
Pride shivered as the Holy Spirit purged it with the Fire.
Purified and Qualified by His blood,
The child stood, but could only marvel at such marvelous greatness.
Joy reached out her hand to this young heart,
And made a promise,
“I will be with you,
Walk with you,
So long as you do not leave His presence."
Peace came down,
His name suited him well
And grabbed the other,
“I will never leave you,
But you need to allow me free access in all the rooms of this house."
For the first time ever since the Decision,
An encounter had been had,
In The Place.
There the child stood,
Complete.
Whole.
But more so,
Content in His presence,
His love...
Eyes open and the child finds themselves home,
In their private space,
Their room.
For the first time,
The child kneels
And cries out...
"Lord you are my everything!"
