THE MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE!

Oh God! Our minds are so twisted and inter-twined with fear, pain, doubt. How do you relate to 'souls' whose minds are a 'tangled ball of hairy mess?' That's what God showed me one day, in my prayer time. I asked Him to show me what He wanted me to see.This was before I had even gone into the jail for the first time.

I was sitting in my office praying and waiting for Him to speak. All of a sudden,I saw myself with a 'ball' of hair on my head and it was a ball of tan-
gled hair, with long strands hanging down my face, and the sides and back of my head. I heard myself say to the Lord, "God thank you for healing my tangled mind." It kinda freaked me out. For days after that, I prayed and asked God why He showed me what He did. I asked Him what He wanted me to do with that knowledge.

The 'tangled ball of hair,' was, I believe, the spirit of the world. It was very demonic. I knew it was. The actual 'ball' was our mind inter-mingled/twined, with the hair, which made it look like a 'tangle.' It was. The long strands of hair hanging down were other strongholds, principals, thoughts, ideals, and beliefs that were contrary to the Word of God. Each one had a power of it's own and would grow when fed what it was lusting after. Then there were other smaller strands of long hair hanging from those.

Do we really realize the depth of the hold that the world has on 'souls?' On our minds? If we are not taking the time to 'transform our minds by renewing them, to become as the mind of Christ,' then we are truly doing ourselves so much harm!!! We are doing God a dis-service. Are we being disobedient too? I believe so.

I know God showed me this, so I could really see and understand the depth of deception that the world has to offer. I'm not sure how else to explain or describe it. I know he wanted me to see the difference also in those that have a 'life-style' of incarceration, and those that don't. The mind is an awesome, awesome thing, especially if it is being 'transformed.

I say all of this to convince you of the 'need' for your prayers for those incarcerated and are on their way 'out.' These women/men get a taste of 'hope' when we bring them the good news of Jesus Christ, and they begin to see a little bit 'clear.' A couple of hours a week with me is hope! Besides the chaplains, I am the only other one that speaks the truth of God's love to them, cause they are not in any other chappel service or bible class.

One young lady, who prayed with me about a month and a half ago, has not been coming for about three weeks. I saw her wednesday night, and i said to her, "Stand up, I want to give you a hug!' and I hugged her and told her how much I loved her!! She is so scared to get out of jail!! She knows that the 'enemies' of her life are just waiting for her and she is so scared!!! All of them are!!! I mention her, because I got the chance to hug her and see her last night. HELP ME PRAY!! TELL ME YOUR PRAYING FOR THEM! I am sitting her at my computer, and intercession hits me as I convey this PLEA to you!! The sobs come in waves...

Do yourself a favor...transform your mind by renewing it to become as the mind of Christ! Do God a favor and INTERCEDE for these women/men.

Romans 8:7,8 because the carnal mind is ENMITY against God, for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. 8. So then those that are in the flesh cannot please God.
James 4:4 Do you not know that FRIENDSHIP of the world is ENMITY with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a FRIEND of the world MAKES himself an ENEMY of God.
Ephesians 2:14-16 For He Himself is our PEACE, who has made both one, and has BROKEN down the middle wall of seperation, 15 having ABOLISHED in the flesh, the ENMITY that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace 16 and that he might reconcile them both to God in one body thru the cross, thereby putting to DEATH the ENMITY.

Oh God is merciful, loving, willing to help us to do all of this!!
Please let me know that you are praying...I love all of you and I love these women and men, but I REALLY LOVE FATHER and when I go up, I wanna be just like Him!
