The Call of God...

For many of us, the day we accepted Christ as our Lord and Savior and was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, we then emarked on a journey that no 'adventure movie' or thrilling 'James Patterson' book could possibly relate to. You have no begun a life with God, the One who Created the universe, who numbers the stars and puts them in place, who built the mountains, who caresses the clouds with His soft touch. You are on an adventure with Him. And suddenly, you begin to see that you're not the only one who is allowed and has the pleasure of laying in His arms all the time; you want to share Him with the world. You want Him to use your voice, your hands, your feet, even your heart to reach out to others and let them know that there is Hope.

You have just been called by God.

I believe there are two types of 'calls'. One: to come to God and accept Him as your Savior. Two: to use your talents or gift that God has given you to expand the Kingdom of God. Some of you are at type One, and others-like myself-am at step Two.

The Devil sees that we are children of God, and he already hates that. But when he sees a child of God who is determined to reach out to others and share His love....he flips over in his bed and passes out. Wheww. Satan hates a child of God! And he'll do anything to stop you from reaching others.

Some of you-I'm mostly speaking to males at the moment-are wanting to preach. You have received the Holy Ghost, and know you feel something odd...you feel 'called'. You feel like there is a phone that won't stop ringing and your questioning "What do I do?" The answer is obvious:

Answer the call.

But young man of God, don't expect this to be easy. You know are considering the moment important job in the world; even more important than the president of the United States. You are someone who reaches out to crowds and allows God to use your voice in every way. You are very important to God. Very. 

Satan sees that as opportunity. Lust will arise, peers will pressure you, and your very temptations will double every part of your life. You know how to stop this? By prayer and fasting. That's the only way you are going to get through this.

So...what's your calling? A preacher? Singer? An evangelist? Or even someone who wants to witness from house-to-house? You can do it. But you can't do it without the leading of God.
