The more we grow in Christ, the less the things of the flesh have any hold on us. Unity in the Spirit is so very important. We must first be in obedience to the Spirits Leading. 1Cor 2:11 And who is the man who knows what is in a man except only the spirit of the man that is in him? So also a man does not know what is in God, only The Spirit of God knows. There are times when we can get in trouble, as we judge others. 1Cor 4:3-5 It means very little to me that you or any human court should cross-examine me. I don't even ask myself questions. I have a clear conscience, but that doesn't mean I have God's approval. It is the Lord who cross-examines me. Therefore, don't judge anything before the appointed time. Wait until the Lord comes. He will also bring to light what is hidden in the dark and reveal people's motives. Then each person will receive praise from God. This is the part that can be very hard to learn. On both sides of the coin. We want to be like, but more then that we want to be able to share. To share what we have been shown. But, if we are being judged, and the sentence that is passed down is, “to be ignored.” And there it is you see, the enemy has successfully limited what you will hear. Truth be told, it did very little, you did all the heavy lifting. It can only suggest. You then give that lie life. In doing so, your disobedience prevents you from hearing what the Spirit is trying to tell you. Once you begin to build upon a lie, the enemy will always have a backdoor to further deceive you about others.
1Cor 2:10,12-16 God has revealed those things to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, especially the deep things of God. 12Now, we didn't receive the spirit that belongs to the world. Instead, we received the Spirit who comes from God so that we could know the things which God has freely given us. 13We don't speak about these things using teachings that are based on intellectual arguments like people do. Instead, we use the Spirit's teachings. We explain spiritual things to those who have the Spirit. 14A person who isn't spiritual doesn't accept the teachings of God's Spirit. He thinks they're nonsense. He can't understand them because a person must be Spiritual to evaluate them. 15Spiritual people evaluate everything but are subject to no one's evaluation. 16Who has known the mind of the Lord so that he can teach him?" However, we have the mind of Christ. This my friends becomes us as, we renew our minds, Pray in the Spirit, and enjoy fellowship with the Spirit. We go back to 1Cor 4:3 as Paul tells us your judging me has little effect on me. By judging and then dismissing you are the one who loses. The things of the Spirit are just that, Spiritual.
Now we go to 1Thes 5:11,17-22 11Therefore, encourage each other and strengthen one another as you are doing. 12Brothers and sisters, we ask you to show your appreciation for those leaders who work among you and instruct you. 13We ask you to love them and think very highly of them because of the work they are doing. Live in peace with each other. 14We encourage you, brothers and sisters, to instruct those who are not living right, cheer up those who are discouraged, help the weak, and be patient with everyone. 15Make sure that no one ever pays back one wrong with another wrong. Instead, always try to do what is good for each other and everyone else. 16Always be joyful 17Never stop praying. 18Whatever happens, give thanks, because it is God's will in Christ Jesus that you do this. 19Don't put out the Spirit's fire. 20Don't despise what God has revealed. 21Instead, test everything. Hold on to what is good. 22Keep away from every kind of evil. On first glance from 11-22 one may think this is just a list of things to do and not do. However, they are all connected. Three key mark things to know Holy Spirit leading are: Comfort, Exhortation, (persuade, inspire, or encourage), and Edification (to build up) As 11,14 we are told to encourage each other. Build up Edify .12-13 tells us to humble ourselves before the Lord. Honor God by showing respect to those He is working through. 14-15 Again encourage, instruct those who are not living as they should. To those who are discouraged, timid, and faint-hearted, as different versions classify, we are to cheer up, encourage, and give comfort to those in these states. Verse 15 we give instructions in living before God. Now verse 16 always be joyful. This is not about be happy, it is about Faith. The Joy of the Lord. We can say always be confident in the Lord. You see how verse 17 ties right into that, Never stop Praying. Be Joyful, (how confidence in Christ) never stop Praying,(exercise your Faith in God). Verse 18 Praise God in all things. Trust Him that no matter what happens, know that God is in Control!! So from verse 11-18 we have been given the instructions, so we are able to as verse 19 say, “Don’t put out the Spirit’s Fire!” Some versions say, Do not quench the Spirit. There must be Freedom for the Spirit of God to influence, activate, stimulate, to spur us on. This is why obedience is so very important. That is part of what verse 20 means. Verse 21 test everything. When people share things of the Spirit. We are to weigh them, are they for us. Maybe they are for later. We have the tools to test the things of the Spirit. First, we have the Spirit itself. 1John 2:20 The Holy One has anointed you, so all of you have knowledge Next, the three things Comfort, Exhortation, Edification. Instruction without condemnation. Love without conditions. Hope born of Truth. Now in verse 22 keep away from evil. By doing that we can be moved by the Spirit’s Leading, without the distraction of sin (evil). I want to awaken you to study want I have shared with you. I know that as you yield to the Spirit, and look into what I have written. You will see what you have been in need of, you will see how to test things shared to you by others.

Hi Chris enjoyed reading your blog. At the moment the words have some resonance with where I am regarding my personal search for spirit. It seems I am always testing and always been tested.
11Therefore, encourage each other and strengthen one another as you are doing.
These words have really helped.
