All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

There’s something that I would like to share with you; the more I meet people, the more I notice this problem in them (stress). One definition of Stress is: physical, mental, or emotional tension.
We all have experienced the symptoms of stress. Sometimes we choose to ignore them, and sometimes we do something about them. Here’s something that most of us have not even given a thought to. You might know it or you might not, but for those of you that don’t… pay attention to this; Stress can become Oppression, and oppression can lead to Depression. Now, I want you to understand this- it starts in your mind, so, stop it in your mind before it gets into the physical. Once it gets into the physical it will be harder to deal with, to the point that you might need professional help, and in some cases it will require prescription drugs.
Most of people’s problems are linked to their financial situation… “If I had x amount of money I wouldn’t be so stressed” Little do people know that even with all the money in the world, they could still be stressed. Money might seem like the answer to their problems. But, it’s not!
Advice: don’t take things so personally. Don’t concentrate on how big your problems are. But instead think about solutions to your problems. If it’s financial… check you spending habits, learn to budget, learn the difference between essentials and non-essentials (this will help you a lot).
If it’s relationship, learn the art of communication.
If it’s a self image problem… start by eating right, exercise, rest, and set your mind on the fact that you’re all *that* and a bag of chips (who cares what anybody else thinks).
Life is too short for you not to be enjoying it the way God meant for you to enjoy. Read the verse below and make it part of your daily life. Write it down on a separate piece of paper and glance at it every time you feel stressed. It will help you! Peace!!!

“Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:6-7
