Time is up

We all know that God has always something for us (thrills me a lot!) to accomplish and this will of course involve our time. To carry out these things we have to make this time as His time. One question that will pop out in your mind instantly is "How can I do that"? "I do not even have the time for myself". Yes, time is important and some of us think that it should not be undivided. We must admit it, we are now living in the busiest time ever. Even God has a time frame(Genesis 1). Okay, so what is next? So how can we make our time His time?

Ephesians 5:19-20

verse 19  Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

verse 20  Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

 The word speaking in this verse in Greek is "laleo"(lal-eh'-o) a verb meaning to talk, for example -preach, say, speak (after), tell, utter. Talking, telling and even preaching to ourselves with spiritual songs making melody in our hearts to the Lord is crystal clear that we have the time for Him! This is precisely what God wants us to do! The moment we think and say to ourselves "You have created this day for your glorification". "Make me a part of it", we already have started giving our time for Him. 

Luke 12: 19-20

verse 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, [and] be merry.

verse 20  But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

Our days are numbered and we should be wise having it. We should always have in mind that time is up for us. A kind of attitude that will take us closer to Him who created the day and who created us. We do not hold our time. Let God handle and take care of our time. Let Him teach us how to use His time. Let us give Him the business of operating every second of our time in our lives in exchange for eternity.

Heavenly Father, choosing our time to spend without you is a total waste of time. Let your appointed time be upon us that we might continue the purpose you have for our lives. Make this time available to us in no time. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
