Spirit and flesh

1John 3:24 Those who obey Christ's commandments live in God, and God lives in them. We know that He lives in us because He has given us the Spirit.
Mark 14:38 Stay awake, and pray that you won't be tempted. You want to do what's right, but you're weak." How many of us can relate to these words ? We want to do what is right but, it seems so hard. Our flesh can be like “Audrey ll” in the “Little shop of Horrors” the planet that needed to be fed. It would say, “Feed Me!!” If you have seen the play of movie you will get it if not never mind. Just our flesh wars with our spirit, one wants control. And one will have control over the other. Gal 5:16 Let me explain further. Live your life as your spiritual nature directs you. Then you will never follow through on what your corrupt nature wants. Gal 5:17 What your corrupt nature wants is contrary to what your spiritual nature wants, and what your spiritual nature wants is contrary to what your corrupt nature wants. They are opposed to each other. As a result, you don't always do what you intend to do.
There is the conflict, as in Rom 7:15 15I don't realize what I'm doing. I don't do what I want to do. Instead, I do what I hate. How many of us can say those very words ? The Word is filled with Knowledge. We do not have to look hard in the Word, to see real people, going through real things. These are the things we need to see. Others struggled, we allow the enemy to mock and tear us down. When we make mistakes, the enemy comes and tells us, God no longer is with you. Like with Jesus it may use scripture, 1John 3:9 Those who have been born from God don't live sinful lives. What God has said lives in them, and they can't live sinful lives. They have been born from God. So it slinks around and tells us, “you are not a child of God, look at you, look at what you have just done!” In these times the obvious questions must be asked before, we go down that path. 1} is the enemy a liar ? 2} God knows and weighs our hearts, He is Faithful to forgive. 3} This verse does not mean we will never sin, but that we will not live in sin as we did at one time. Because, the Spirit of God lives in us then we are led to repentance. 2Cor 7:1 Since we have these promises, dear friends, we need to cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit and live a Holy Life in the fear of God. Here again we come down to one thing, “choice.” Now on our own, by own wills, can we do this ? 1John 5:4 because everyone who has been born from God has won the victory over the world. Our Faith is what wins the victory over the world. Our faith is what wins... Our Faith is what, ourselves ? Let’s look at that. The Word clearly say, “Our Faith is what wins..” So we can see we must not jump ahead, “everybody ‘Born of God’ has won the Victory” It is our Faith in God who, through Jesus has won the Victory over the world.
Rom 7:25 25I thank God that our Lord Jesus Christ rescues me! So I am obedient to God's standards with my mind, but I am obedient to sin's standards with my corrupt nature.
So because of Christ, I am rescued. Now right there it clearly states, “,,,I am obedient to God's standards with my mind...” 1Cor 2:6..." However, we have the mind of Christ.” Some may argue how I got here. To those I am sorry, but we are here so let me share. Because, this is True, we have the mind of Christ. We know right from wrong, good from bad.
Rom 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, and the mind of The Spirit is life and peace,
Rom 8:9 But if God's Spirit lives in you, you are under the control of your spiritual nature, not your corrupt nature. Whoever doesn't have the Spirit of Christ doesn't belong to him.
Rom 8:27 The one who searches our hearts knows what the Spirit has in mind. The Spirit intercedes for God's people the way God wants him to. Gone are the arguments of, “I just can’t do this!” The very words of Jesus tells us, John 6:63 “Life is spiritual. Your physical existence doesn't contribute to that life. The words that I have spoken to you are spiritual. They are life.” Jesus Himself tells us, we must not live or even think in the physical. Truth is we do live in this world, but from His words we are not bound to it and it’s hold or it’s effects. We are free as we put our Faith in the knowledge of His Words. Yes. again we live in this world and we must deal with the parts of it that require our attention. Our home’s, or bills, and things of those sorts, etc.. But, we must see the Victory that is ours in Him. Rom 8:5 Those who live by the corrupt nature have the corrupt nature's attitude. But those who live by the spiritual nature have the spiritual nature's attitude. Even though we live in this world, and we operate in this place, because of Christ we are able to live by our spiritual nature. Rom 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, and the mind of The Spirit is life and peace,
Rom 8:9 But if God's Spirit lives in you, you are under the control of your spiritual nature, not your corrupt nature. Whoever doesn't have the Spirit of Christ doesn't belong to him.
You see we DO NOT have to live the way we did before, Jesus came into our live, Before we were Baptized, not just by water but, by Fire of the Holy Spirit. We are not helpless. For you see we do have a choice, it may at times be very hard to stand as we should. Gal 5:25 If we live by our spiritual nature, then our lives need to conform to our spiritual nature. Rom 8:27 The one who searches our hearts knows what the Spirit has in mind. The Spirit intercedes for God's people the way God wants Him to. Helpless ? No not even close. How then do we tap into what the Spirit intercedes, for us ? The Spirit intercedes according to what the Father desires. Not only the Spirit but, Rom 8:34 Who will condemn them? Christ has died, and more importantly, he was brought back to life. Christ has the highest position in heaven. Christ also intercedes for us. One more time, how do we receive that which is being Prayed by the Jesus and the Spirit according to the Father ? How do we acquire, secure, accept and even seize what Jesus and Spirit has been in intercession for us ? Of course it is by Faith. We give Thanks and Praise for that intercession. We must reach out and accept, draw, gather and hold on to what the Word clearly states. Our High Priest, the Spirit of God are in
intercession for us. I don’t know about you but, that gets me so excited and gives me the strength to stand with Him. PRAISE AND GLORY TO THE KING. JESUS, JESUS, JESUS
