I have often talked to people who say they are too scared to witness, or reach out to people that are strangers to them. They're scared to look them in the eye and invite them to church; or they're scared of what the person will think. This is all common. I've even struggled with it.
For the past few months, I've found the courage and bravery to stand up and talk to someone about Jesus. I'm no longer ashamed to say that Jesus loves them and that He's coming back. I've gotten to the point where I see a group of people and see hell right in the midst of them; not the literal Hell, just their lives in chaos and that every single one of them has a soul and will some day face eternity. Either Heaven, or Hell.
Many people have asked me, "How you approach people so easily? Don't you get scared?"
There is only one answer to this question, and I believe that someone will understand this once they've read it. The answer is one word:
Love.
The Word says, "But the greatest of these is love..."
Without love, our fruit is nothing. Without love, we are but a tinkling cymbal. Without love, we do not belong to Christ.
We all, as the body of Christ, need to get to where we are in love with souls. Souls are very important. Far more important than the president of the United States. For this life is temporary, but eternity is eternity. Never ending. No time. No seconds. No 'soons'. Just eternity.
Look at the person closest to you or the next person that you see. Ask yourself: Are they going through a rough time at home? Or in their mind? Are they doing okay?
Look at that person. Really look into them. Don't stare at them, it might freak them out a little bit. Just think about them. They have a life, just as you do. They have a soul, just like you. They are facing eternity. And eternity for that person could be the very next day, or the next minute. Look at them. Everyone is going through some struggle, whether they know it or not.
Now, listen to their soul. Do you hear it? Is it happy? Or is it sad? Joyful? Depressed? Shouting? Or screaming for God? Listen to it. Our soul is different from out carnal selves. Our soul wants God, our flesh wants worldly desires.
Approach that person and tell them about Jesus. Encourage them. Honestly: wouldn't you want someone to approach you and be there for you when you are going through something? We are humans, so naturally we want someone to be there for us.
And think about it like this: you never know if that person prayed for a sign, or someone to talk to them. You might be the answer to that prayer.
God bless.
I really felt lead to write this. I feel as though someone out there on this website is looking for this answer.
Love.
I hope this answered your question.

What about me as a new Christian, I don't know I know enough to tell to others, but I can sure tell them Jesus loves you. Also I can love them:)
