SECOND CHANCES
A very long time ago, 27 years to be exact, a baby girl was born to parents too young and too immature to have children, but were in love, or so they thought.
A year and a half later, another baby girl was born.
The babies grew and while they were growing, there were many struggles for the parents who became very stressed but were too young and too immature to do anything about the stress except take it out on the baby girls.
Poor babies, they were treated with much anger and resentment, especially by their mother.
A few years later, a baby boy was born to the parents. The baby was beautiful and unfortunately, the only baby that was wanted to the parents that were too young and too immature.
5 long years past. During that time, the children were treated with inconsistency, disrespect and little love until the day the mother met Jesus. The family saw such a change in the mother they too wanted to meet Jesus, so one by one, the family asked Jesus into their hearts and began to change.
Before long, the children were treated with consistency, respect and much love. The parents were still young and still immature, but Jesus lived in their hearts.
To make a long blog short, many years have past, the children are grown and have children of their own that are loved greatly by their parents and their grandparents who aren't that young anymore and possibly still immature.
The grandparents help to look after two little girls.Their granddaughters.
The grandparents are so very thankful to Jesus for the second chance to "have" little children again, this time treating them the way they should be treated, the way the Lord intended children to be treated with much love.

I have found that the chains that bind us have to be broken before healing and restatution can be made..I'm from a dysfunctional family too but since I came to Christ 3 yrs ago I have found that God has answered more questions to my past than any human ever could. Our God is not just about second chances its third fourth five ... He ia awesome He know's all our anger hurt pain everything and yet loves us..If you can get hold of the book broken children grown up pain by Paul Hegstrom its a great insight ...Enjoy having the time to relive with your grand kids and also your own kids its never to late .xxxx

life is really like that. we are not ready for everything we do. we just do our best. and hopefully, as you said, we get a second chance.
