Sacrifice
Love I've learned comes with a price,
a life of nothing less than sacrifice.
So much I thought I'd have by now,
I've given to those in need somehow.
For to hold on to something someone needs,
this selflessness inside exceeds.
To God, my children, family, and friends, do I give,
for unto myself I no longer live.
Money, time, service, and love,
none are mine but from above.
What God has given me that I may keep,
awaits for me beyond life's sleep.
Some may think how sad is he,
but sacrifice I make joyfully.
The love I found though with a price,
came with Gods greatest sacrifice.
Acts 10:4 And he, gazing intently at him, became frightened and said, What is it, Lord? And the angel said to him, Your prayers and your [generous] gifts to the poor have come up [as a sacrifice] to God and have been remembered by Him.
I can only give what You gave to me.
What do I have that's close to worthy.
What have I to give that speaks to thee.
Everything I have you gave to me.
The best I am you've made me be.
I could not pay for that which is free.
What I give you gave to me.
Your Love for me you give freely.
Your love for me is eternally.
Your love for me is all I see.
Your love for me I give back to thee.
Romans 8:3
For God has done what the Law could not do, [its power] being weakened by the flesh [ the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit]. Sending His own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, [God] condemned sin in the flesh [ subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that sacrifice],
Romans 12:1
I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.
I love you.
