RELEASING MY CHILDREN INTO GODS HANDS

I want to thank everybody for their prayers, advice and encouragement. When my son walked away from home i thought I lost him forever. But my God is in control and boy did God teach me a lesson. I decided to take a few day off from work and spend time with my kids in order for us to talk and pray together over our problems.
God reminded me of 1Peter 5v7 "Leave all your worries with him because He cares for you." What was my worries and fears?
My worries and fears was my children growing up and me trying to protect them from making mistakes. God cares so much for us that He wants us to leave everything in his hands which i always did but the most important thing was my children, I did not trust God enough to give him full control of their lives. By releasing our children unto God brings joy and peace for both them and us. We hold on so tight that we limit what God can do in their lives. Trying to be the perfect parents on our own while we should let go and surrender and allow God full access to their live. Imagine what the outcome of their lives would be if we should just leave them in Gods hands and allow Him to have complete control. However we should not stop praying for them but continue to call unto God for guidance in order to raise our children according to His will. When i took stock of everything this past week i realised that i made many mistakes but the greatest one was holding onto them so tight that i stopped them from being just kids. I believe God allowed this to happen in order to get my attention and He did. I now see my children through Gods eyes and through the grace of God will handle situations differently.

I made that choice to release my children into Gods hands and as of the 5th August 2009 God and i are in partnership in raising them.

Psalm 127 v3 says "Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing." what's most significant about Ps 127 is verse 1, "If the Lord does not build the house the work of the builders is useless."
