RAMBLING: Your Voice Is Needed
“A voice cries out in the desert:

‘Prepare the way for the Lord!
Make his paths straight!'” Matt 3:3 (GW)
They watched as the sun rose, heat waves shimmering in the early morning. They knew it was going to be another hot day with temperatures soaring well beyond the comfort zone. They turned away to seek the cool shade wherever that might be. They sought comfort in their daily rituals as this would help somewhat to get their minds off the coming heat, yet they knew they could never escape totally what lay ahead. As the day progressed the heat rose to greater unbearable heights. Soon the shade offered no more comfort and they sought shelter in their dwellings, on the beaches, wherever the heat was less oppressive. Hours later the sun slid beyond the western horizon and a cool wind soon soothed fevered bodies and minds. As darkness swept the land they began to celebrate the night and its darkness with orgies and all forms of corruption. Their hearts and souls were hot with the lust of their passions. Acts of immorality, deeds of violence and minds filled with vile thoughts flowed freely. Just before the dawning they fled to their places of refuge to escape the light more than the heat of the rising sun. As they finally staggered from their restless sleep they saw once again the shimmering heat waves and knew they faced another hot day. How they longed for the cool rains to bring relief into their dry lives. As they stumbled about in the heat someone noticed what appeared at first to be a mirage, however the longer they watched the closer the shimmering image took on the form of a stranger. They had seen so many strangers passing through, many promising all kinds of enjoyment and pleasures. Some even offering spiritual appeasement to those who sought spiritual satisfaction without giving up their present life style. Some who passed through offered soothing words of comfort that provided only brief relief from a troubled life. Others offered advise for great wealth, power and popularity. A few succeeded, most failed. Others offered advise on escaping their trouble, problems, their dark secrets only to find themselves in greater darkness. There were those who offered promises of a better life for a price, a price many found too high to pay. So they wondered what this stranger would have to offer them. There was only one way to find out. As he approached the centre of their town he approached the fountain and drank thirstily from their cool water as he finished quenching his thirst he looked around as they gathered around him. They noticed his rough and worn clothing, his shoes were dusty and worn. His hair was long and shaggy, his faced deeply burned by the sun. He looked like he hadn't eaten in days yet he seemed full of strength. His eyes were bright and a gentle smile lit his face. They waited for him to speak. Instead he sat down and began to eat what looked like honey and some other substance that they could not identify. Once he satisfied his hunger he gazed upon the crowd, rose from the stone he had been sitting upon and spoke. His voice was heard throughout the crowd and the message was one they never heard before or at least some who had heard this message had not heard it quite like this and were troubled deep within. He spoke of one who was coming, someone who would cleanse their souls of all sin, give them a eternal peace and contentment never known to anyone before. He would grant them forgiveness and pardon for all the sins they had ever committed. In order to receive and enjoy these blessing they would have to repent, change their life style even the way they thought and spoke. There was a moment of silence as they absorbed this message. Then they began to question him on his message many ridiculing him, others sneered and laughed for they had been deceived by others. especially those who claimed to possess spiritual enlightenment , others shrugged indifferently and walked away. There were mummers of threats and foul language hurled at this strange messenger. The smile faded from the strangers face and a shadow of sadness crossed his face. As the insults, threats, mocking denials continued to be hurled at this unknown messenger he suddenly turned stern and faced those who he knew who were both the religious and civil leaders and pointed his finger at them and in a voice filled with righteousness cried out a stern warning to them for their failure to teach the and live the Truth of God. To those who supported these leaders he warned them they were following these leaders to a certain destruction. The only way they could avoid this terrible fate was to repent. There were however, a few who listened with great interest and desired to prepare themselves to meet this great one he spoke of. As he listened to their cry of despair, seeking hope and peace he invited them to follow him to the nearby river. There he baptized them telling them that though he baptized them physically the one who was coming would baptize them with a power never before seen or experience. Meanwhile the crowd that stayed back were plotting and planning on what to do when their attention was drawn to a man who was approaching them , a man dressed in a dusty garments , worn shoes, scraggily beard and hair, a man who did not look like anyone except like an ordinary man. But his bearing was regal, his eyes burned through them and when he spoke he said "I am come to save and give out justice." Then he headed for the river.
We live in a world that has become so immoral, so corrupt, so complacent, uncaring, greedy, violent, spiritually corrupt overly tolerant of sin it is hard to to distinguish Truth from fiction people are becoming more and more confused about God, His love and justice that they simply turn their backs on Him and live their lives according to their own conscience.
26 “When the Son of Man comes again, the situation will be like the time of Noah. 27 People were eating, drinking, and getting married until the day that Noah went into the ship. Then the flood destroyed all of them.
28 “The situation will also be like the time of Lot. People were eating, drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But on the day that Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from the sky and destroyed all of them. 30 The day when the Son of Man is revealed will be like that.
31 “On that day those who are on the roof shouldn't come down to get their belongings out of their houses. Those who are in the field shouldn't turn back. 32 Remember Lot's wife! 33 Those who try to save their lives will lose them, and those who lose their lives will save them.
Luke 17:26-33 (GW)"Voices" are desperately needed to teach and preach the complete message of God to world that is drowning in the greatest flood of sin ever witnessed by Heaven. God needs each one of us to harvest souls for Him 35 “Don't you say, ‘In four more months the harvest will be here'? I'm telling you to look and see that the fields are ready to be harvested. 36 The person who harvests the crop is already getting paid. He is gathering grain for eternal life. So the person who plants the grain and the person who harvests it are happy together. 37 In this respect the saying is true: ‘One person plants, and another person harvests.' 38 I have sent you to harvest a crop you have not worked for. Other people have done the hard work, and you have followed them in their work.”
John 4:35-38 (GW) There are so many teaching and preaching a false gospel and are gathering countless souls unto themselves only to lead them to eternal destruction. We need to stop this so raise your voices my brethren, be soldiers for Christ put on the full armour of God and remember this from James, 19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you wanders from the truth, someone can bring that person back. 20 Realize that whoever brings a sinner back from the error of his ways will save him from death, and many sins will be forgiven.
James 5:19-20 (GW) WE HAVE THE POWER! WE HAVE THE WORD! WE HAVE GOD ON OUR SAID so raises your VOICES and be heard.
