RAMBLING: JOY TO THE WORLD

As the Christ child lay contently asleep in the feeding manager and as shepherds gathered around to gaze in wonder upon this child sent by God and announced by angels. How appropriate that shepherds and their sheep gathered around this Wonder that lay wrapped in his swaddling cloths for this innocent and divine Child would become the Shepherd of shepherds seeking His sheep in life's wilderness. Many would respond to His call and follow Him as He led them to the waters of eternal life, to feed on the bread of life. They would one day be scattered as the Good Shepherd hung between heaven and earth as God His Father wept. But for now as Shepherds paid their homage to this little Child God smiled with pride and angels lifted their voices in praise and joy at the birth of the King of Kings, Saints rejoiced in heaven as they gazed upon this Child for now salvation had arrived for all mankind. JOY TO THE WORLD!
