PSALM 114 DEVOTIONAL-HE WILL PART THE SEA

Whatever God’s will is in our lives He will see to it that His will be done. No mountain, no barrier, no man can get in the way of His plans for you just as nothing was able to get in the way of delivering His people from Egypt. The whole earth He will move to set His people free just as surely as the Red Sea parted He will make your way straight. It is only us who sometimes get in the way when we allow fear or doubt to set upon our minds and our hearts. We have to learn discipline in order to stand still and wait upon the Lord for we already know and should have faith that His plans for us are far greater than even our own. I love this statement from Moses in Exodus and read it often as a reminder along with the Psalms that His hand will guide me along the path and His Word will be a lamp unto my feet. Personally and honestly, some days I am better at this than other days but in my secret place with Him at night He sets me back straight again. We all fall down sometimes but with the strength and surety of the Lord we are able to fly again. I thank God for His love and mercy and for His faithfulness to me. PRAISE YOU ALWAYS HEAVENLY FATHER!! AMEN!

Psalm 114 (King James Version)

1When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;
2Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.
3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.
4The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.
5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?
6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?
7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;
8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
