PSALM 113 DEVOTIONAL-BLESS HIS NAME

While reading this Psalm tonight I thought how fitting of a scripture to read this day. The Lord had placed in my life and given me the opportunity to behold His perfect timing in someone’s life and lift the needy out of the dust and place in their eyes, tears of joy. I watched someone’s faith in God grow from the size of a mustard seed to sprouting a few green leaves and it did a lot for my own faith as well. If the peace and fulfillment I am feeling this night that God has placed around and within me were to be measured in worldly riches then I am the richest woman in the universe. I am not wealthy in worldly ways, in fact I am downright unwealthy but what I witnessed this day can never be measured by all the silver and gold in this world. My answer to verse 5 of this Psalm is, there is nobody who is like unto the Lord our God and blessed be His Name forevermore. I LOVE YOU LORD GOD ALMIGHTY! AMEN!


Psalm 113 (King James Version)

1Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD.
2Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore.
3From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD's name is to be praised.
4The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens.
5Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high,
6Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
7He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.
9He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD
