PSALM 112 DEVOTIONAL-ESTABLISHED HEARTS

Well, there is not a lot I can think of to say, to be honest, about this Psalm except that two very positive and strong words were spoken to me while I was reading this tonight. FORGE AHEAD!! Oh wait; I was just led to find a few more words! (smiles) There is one verse that did stand out to me in this Psalm though and that is verse 4. To me it seems most vital for us all to be a light that arises in the darkness. Shine that light of Jesus wherever and whenever we can with every opportunity that arises for us in our daily lives, even when darkness hovers over our own lives. It is very mysterious the way God works and I have discovered that often times when we are helping someone else carry their burden and being of good cheer to a friend who needs it, our own problems and that darkness that threatens our lives kind of just disperses. Wow, God is just amazing! As I was saying at the beginning of this devotional, the two words that came to me were “Forge ahead” and a song also came to mind. It’s an old worship Hymn but just as meaningful now as it ever was so I will find it and post the video beneath the Psalm. It’s called “Onward Christian Soldiers.” Family in Christ, we are enlisted in THE KINGS ARMY!! PRAISE GOD, HALLEJUYAH!! AMEN!

Psalm 112 (King James Version)

1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish

yes Mary. that is the other verse that spoke to me as well. Holy Spirit was leading me with verse four as I feel someone out there needs to hear and take heart to that particular verse. We seem to be very connected on a lot of things that speak out to us individually and personally. Ahhh, ONE SPIRIT sis!! God bless you
