All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I have a pre-op appointment tomorrow, Sept. 14th, to start the process for eye surgery to remove Cataracts from both eyes and implant a flexible lens in each eye. The operation on one eye first and then a month later the other eye. I am praying that through the surgeons hands and skill that God will guide him and that my eyesight will be restored so I can again enjoy reading. The cataracts make my eyes tire quickly and I also only have a small area to one side that I can see fairly clear to read or type. I am very thankful to God for modern medicine and science and technology. Both have enabled me to live a fuller life. Everything is given to us by God. Without Him we would have nothing.

Thank you for your prayers. My pre-op went well. Left eye op Oct. 6th. Right eye Nov 8th. Amazing how God works. My granddaughter was admitted to the hospital today and gave birth to my great grandson, 7lbs 6 oz. Skyler Rockwell Paul. He is in need of a hair cut. He has so much hair that it is almost hanging over his ears. She went into labour at 3AM and gave birth at 5:41PM. If not for having received a call yesterday to go to pre-op clinic at the hospital I would not have been near the hospital or had any way of getting there.  Baby and mom are doing well aside from mom being groggy from the pain killer that was given to her. Even with that she was still in a lot of pain. That certainly took my mind off of my upcoming Cataract surgery.

Bryon

You will be in the prayers of many brother.  I pray not only for wisdom and skill for the surgeons hands.  But that the Peace that passes all understanding covers over you.  We praise God for the victory, and thank Him for restoring sight.

Hi Byron,

I had major surgery last year to have a section of my intestine removed and then rejoined, and as I lay on the bed waiting to be anesthetized before the op I was thinking and praying and mumbling because I was so nervous. The next thing I knew I was waking up thinking and praying and groaning because I was in pain. The operation was successful - praise God. I have every confidence that God will oversee your surgery. Please let me know the date when you are to have the surgery so that I can pray for you.

In Him,

Desmond
