Prayer call for Egypt

Although several thousands years have gone by, those names (Babylonians in Iraq, Persians in Iran ,Egyptians in Egypt, and Jews in Israel), that we are familiar with from the OT, are still making headlines in the world affairs.  These ancients casts are still taking significant roles in the world stage, just because God of OT is still in charge of today's world.

At right before our eyes in our living room, we are witnessing the birth of new Muslim world.  As most of us are thoughtlessly gazing through the millions of angry people rioting in the street of Cairo in our TV screen, we may be naively thinking that Egyptians want their freedom and democracy.  Questions are, "is that all about what is happening?"; "is this riot motivated with same aspiration as those millions of freedom fighters in Eastern European countries at the end of 20th century, those Koreans in the streets of Seoul in 1970s, and those young Chinese blood shared in TianAnMen Square in 1989?"; "what influences are provoking the millions of people to assemble as a mop? - is it only about unemployment, poverty, and dissatisfaction against the long ruling regime?"; "what do they really want? - is it the free society, or the new regime that will endorse and nurture their hatred toward Jewish people and anyone who are supportive of Israel?."
