POWER OF RESSURECTION

Luke 24:13-35

After Jesus has gone through the cross, then came the ressurrection. They looked for Him in the tomb but he was not there. The angels that stood by the disciples even said...." why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here He has risen."  Now comes the story of two men on their way to Emmaus. These man where talking about the things which had happened. The arrest of Jesus, the crucifixion. Jesus drew near to these men and started walking with them. The bible says ....their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him. (Luke 24 verse 16). Jesus then asked them what they were talking about and why they were so sad? Funny answer that Cleopas gave to Jesus..."Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem , and have you not known the things which happened here in these  days?"

These two men knew Jesus, they had seen Him before. The reference to first person plural in verse 22 (....and certain women of our company......) and verse 24(....who were with us ...), shows us that these men walked with Jesus and were close to Him.

What then happened for these two men not to know that it was Jesus they were taking to? The bible says...."their eyes were restarined , so that they did not know Him" ( Luke 24 vs 16)

Jesus had come back in another form of Glory .. the different level than that they knew of Him before His death. He had come back to them in all power... all the power He had gained in His resurrection. He was the same Jesus they knew..but all the trouble he went through even as unto death..was perfecting Him so that when He resurrected, He was showing His superior glory as The Son of God.

Today someone must be going through a hard time.. The word of God says we are united with Christ.. Christ lives in us and it is no longer us that lives but Christ that lives in us. Therefore it is the character of Jesus that must manifest in us. We have gone through pain, we have gone through hard times(hell), we have even experienced death in certain areas of our lives. But if Jesus is the one who lives in us.. then that means we have the same  resurrection power found in Him.

After your resurrection from problems, hard times and pain. You will walk with the people who once knew you but they will not recognize you. They will talk about your story but because of the glory of resurrection they will not know you when they meet you. Because you will be walking in the power of resurrection .
